Sounds of the Season
Area talent combines to present this year's 16th Annual “Sounds of the Season”
Tickets now on sale for the 16th annual, premier holiday concert being produced in cooperation with the Alice C. Wiltsie Performing Arts Center, WYLN TV 35, DeMelfi School of Music, The Hazleton Standard Speaker, The Hazleton Chamber of Commerce, Service Electric Cablevision, Hazleton and GEM 104 FM. We are pleased to announce that the concert, December 11th 2021, will be presented at the Alice C. Wiltsie Performing Arts Center, Hazleton PA, at 7:00 PM with doors opening at 6:00. This event entitled “Sounds of The Seasons,” ”Let’s Celebrate”, will feature the renowned Hazleton Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Robert Lagana, with special performances by Faberge` Follies, directed by Miss Faberge`. Making an appearance this year will be the Hazleton Area Cougar Crooners under the direction of Kimberly A. Sharonoff. The Orchestra will a present a favorite Holiday reading and will also feature well known area soloists. The audience will be invited to join in the singing of traditional holiday music with the Hazleton Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. Ticket prices are $10.00 and all seating is general admission. Tickets may be purchased from any orchestra or dance member and will be available at the door the night of the performance. Regardless of vaccination status, masking and social distancing protocols will be observed during the performance. “WE’LL “C” YOU AT THE WILTSIE”

TWELVE TWENTY FOUR
Established in 2002, Twelve Twenty-Four presents a high-energy, full-scale, holiday rock orchestra concert featuring everyone’s favorite rock-edge holiday music as well, as their own holiday creations. Inspired by the music and stage presentation of some of music’s greatest rock orchestras, this dedicated group of performers works year-round to deliver a theatrical and memorable Christmas concert experience suitable for fans of all ages. Gracing their concert stage is an amazing group of professional and talented performers. Twelve Twenty-Four consists of a six-piece rock band, multipiece string section, and a variety of vocalists. Twelve Twenty-Four shows feature original arrangements and songs from their 2018 release, Transcendence; 2012 release, Light in the Dark; and their 2010 debut CD, Miracle on Rock Street. Steel Notes Magazine describes Twelve Twenty-Four as, “…it has the hardness and creativity of Rush combined with the finesse and perfection of Pink Floyd!

Directions
From Lehighton/Philadelphia/Turnpike:
Take the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Mahoning Valley Exit #74. Follow Route 209 South through Lehighton and Jim Thorpe to Route 93 (approximately 2 miles outside of Jim Thorpe). After passing the Macusso’s Motel/Restaurant on your left, turn right onto Route 93 North. Take Route 93 North for approximately 12 miles to Route 309. Turn right onto Route 309 to parking areas on map.
From I-81 North or South:
Take Exit 143 to Route 924 North (CAN DO Expressway) toward Hazleton. Follow Route 924 West 2.3 miles to Route 93 (Broad Street). Continue straight onto Diamond Avenue and go 0.7 miles to Route 309 (Church Street). Turn left onto Route 309 North and continue about a quarter mile to parking areas on map.
From I-80 East or West:
At the Interstate 81 junction, take Interstate 81 south then follow the I-81 directions.
From Route 309 traveling north:
Follow Route 309 to the center of the City of Hazleton, continue north of the downtown area, make right at 8th St.
The former St Joseph Hospital is on the 8th St. corner.
From Route 309 traveling south:
Turn left on 8th St. The former St Joseph Hospital is on the 8th St. corner.
